basics

Welcome to [info]sarajayechan's Fandom Reminiscence Blog. In this journal, I will talk about my journey with fandom in a historical context, make comparisons to then and now, and discuss how certain shows and stories in my head influenced my current tastes.

Why?

Because I'm a nostalgia geek at heart. I fully appreciate the here and now and the future, don't get me wrong, but one of my favorite things to do is sit around and geek out over the old days. Come on, who doesn't love to go all gooey inside over 1980s M&Ms commercials during Saturday morning cartoons every now and then? XD

Don't you have anything better to do?

If by that you mean "shouldn't you be doing homework or cleaning the cat box"...be honest, which would you pick? XD But if you mean "shouldn't you be partying and getting laid like a normal person", kindly STFU. :P

How the hell do you remember so far back anyway? Are you secretly a time lord?

No, I just have a freakishly good memory. XD

Are you gonna do movie and show reviews like on The Nostalgia Critic?

I might occasionally, if there was something I either particularly loved or couldn't stand. But for the most part this is about my experiences as a fan, not a review journal.

Why[info]blagi?

Long story short, I'm a fan of the game Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu, a good friend of mine pointed out this name wasn't taken, and I snagged it. XD And now that I think about it, it's easier this way: Rather than deciding to make a fandom meta journal and then spending 15 minutes deciding on a name, I went for the name first and then decided what it was gonna be about.

Plus, Blagi blood in Seisen no Keifu makes awesome healers and magic defense tanks. ♥
